Massimo Desiderio

Born in Naples on May 29, 1965, in 2018 he founded Studio Cisternino Desiderio & Partners, a professional association of lawyers and tax consultants. He is an independent director of Unipol Gruppo S.p.A. (currently Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee, member of the Related Parties Committee, and Chair of the Supervisory Body ‘231’). Since 2004, he has served as a member of the supervisory committee in crisis procedures of financial intermediaries appointed by the Bank of Italy.

In addition to significant institutional experience (Bank of Italy, Supervision Office of Padua 1993-1996; Assogestioni, Head of Legal Department 2000-2002), he has practiced law in several national firms (Bussoletti Nuzzo & Associati 1996-1999; Gianni, Origoni, Grippo & Partners 2005-2010) and international ones (Haarmann Hemmelrath & Partner 2002-2004), with an initial in-house role at Telemontecarlo (1991-1993). Graduated with honors from the University of Rome ‘La Sapienza’ (1989), admitted to the Rome Bar (1993, Supreme Court lawyer since 2018).
