Giuseppe Vegas

Giuseppe Vegas graduated with honors in Law from the University of Milan. From 2010 to 2017, he served as Chairman of CONSOB, making a significant contribution to the regulation of Italian and international financial markets.

A licensed publicist journalist, he has collaborated with Il Sole 24 Ore, Il Foglio, Il Messaggero, and MF. He has served as Scientific Director of the Einaudi Foundation in Rome and as adjunct professor at several Italian universities.

Author of numerous publications on public finance, he has been awarded the title of Commendatore della Repubblica Italiana and the Verdienst Grosses Kreuz of the Federal Republic of Germany. He has also received the Civic Merit Medal from the City of Milan and the Guido Carli Prize for Economics.
